New: courses in episodes
Tired of binge-watching Tiger King? Start binge-watching TMC courses.
Do you ever feel like you never have time to learn something new? You planned on taking a webinar or an online course in the afternoon but had to cancel last minute because you're running behind on the project your working on, or because you just want to finish writing up those user stories today. You tell yourself, "I'll do it tomorrow, then I'll take some time off to learn".
Let's be honest here. You won't do it tomorrow because you won't have the time either. There will always be something more urgent to do. It's the same as that gym membership you have lying around in that new dusty sports bag under your bed.
How could learning fit in your busy schedule and short attention span while you're multitasking away?
Have you ever heard of microlearning?
Microlearning is about tiny doses of e-learning packaged in small bursts of training material that you can comprehend in a short time. It is focused on small learning units and short-term learning activities to build skills in a more approachable manner. The learning process in this context usually doesn't take longer than 15-20 minutes and focuses on one practical skill or thought.
Boosting knowledge, easy revision, more freedom, increased flexibility, and faster completion, these are some of the benefits of microlearning. If this is not worth your while, what is?
Introducing: episode courses
That is why we have worked hard to offer you bite-sized interesting content. Together with Pieter Van Driessche, we created the very first episode for a new concept on The Master Channel: courses in episodes.
The concept: a course in episodes
Courses released in episodes are made up of small packages of practical information. The episodes will be released regularly so you can build up knowledge and improve your skills in small, comprehensible steps.
Don't worry if you're more of a binge-watcher than a wait-for-an-episode-to-be-released type, nothing is holding you back to save the episodes for when you're feeling like binging a course.
The course: The Agile Dilemmas
Starting with agile is easy, but doing agile right is hard. There are so many small and big changes required to your way of working that at some point in time the "Why"-questions are raised.
Why do we have to use story points? Why should we go for small user stories? Why should we use agile after all? In this course, Pieter will tackle a few of these agile dilemmas. With more than 15 years of experience in coaching teams and organizations towards an Agile mindset, this course will be packed with practical knowledge.
The first episode focuses on the trade-off between user story estimations in story points or hours. Only 5 questions are needed to discover what’s best for your team. Finally, get the answer you need for your team in this episode.
