AI for Analysts

AI is changing the way we work. The tools are here, the capabilities are real, and the analysts who know how to use them will produce better deliverables in less time. The question is no longer whether AI belongs in analysis work, it is how to apply it effectively.

This course is not about AI in theory. It is about applying AI to the real, daily work of a business or systems analyst: stakeholder interviews, requirements, diagrams, user stories, and technical artifacts. You will work through a realistic case from end to end and come away with practical skills you can use from day one.

What will you learn?

Analysts deal with volume and variety: strategy documents, interview notes, regulatory texts, legacy code, diagrams, and raw data. The real bottleneck is not intelligence. It is capacity. This course shows you how to use AI as a co-analyst helping you with all that heavy lifting.
We work through three modules. First, you will unlock the core capabilities AI offers and connect them directly to analysis work. Next, you will master prompting and smart tooling, because the quality of AI output depends almost entirely on how you frame the task. Finally, you will apply everything to a realistic case, and produce the kind of deliverables you would hand off on the job.

Unlock the power of AI for analysis work

AI can transcribe and summarise stakeholder interviews, extract business rules from legacy code, analyse solution alternatives with multi-criteria decision matrices, and generate technical models and diagrams. You will learn which AI capabilities are relevant to analysts today, where they add genuine value.

Master prompting and smart tooling

A generic prompt returns generic output. You will learn structured prompting frameworks that give you consistent, high-quality results. You will also learn how to match the right AI tool to the right task, because tool selection matters as much as prompt quality.

Augmented analysis in practice

You will apply what you have learned to a realistic case and work through key analysis tasks the way you would on the job. The focus is on producing deliverables that are accurate, traceable, and ready to hand off.
