What will you learn?

Data is the new oil. At least if this data is structured correctly. Companies that want to use business intelligence to their advantage need a specific structure in their database to support complex data analysis like aggregations, drill down, or slicing and dicing. This database structure needs to be optimized for ‘read’ operations and needs to process and perform operations and calculations on millions of records at the same time.

Traditional normalized relational database designs do not support this. They don’t offer the required speed and simplicity to support these complex operations.

A dimensional model is one of the solutions to this problem. In this course, you’ll learn about the essential elements of dimensional modeling.

Basic concepts

Learn essential concepts of dimensional models and understand what advantages they can have over traditional relational databases.

Extensive materials

The course consists of 28 high-quality videos, accompanied by several module tests to interactively test the knowledge you accumulated.
