Questions and answers

What will you learn?

Data modeling is hard. You know this - if you’ve ever tried to facilitate a data modeling workshop. I often see that these workshops are started with some simple questions. “What data do you want to store?” and “How is the data related?”.
These questions are correct but for business experts they are often hard to answer.
There must be a better way.
In this course “a business-oriented approach to data modeling” we introduce a data modeling approach that is built around the people that execute the business processes or actually use the applications that are built. As an analyst you need to be able to get the information from the people that serve our customer - business people & subject matter experts.
We truly believe that for data modeling to be successful and achieve full potential, we need a way to get buy-in from business people. That’s what we try to achieve with this course.
We have built a data modeling approach where business people are involved - they build the models themselves with our help.
What’s more, the approach is completely scripted in clearly defined steps. Just follow along and results are guaranteed.
